Dr. Adir Pinchot is a postdoctoral fellow at My OCD Care who specializes in evidence-based treatments for OCD, OCPD, anxiety, and mood disorders across the lifespan.
Dr. Pinchot graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva University with a bachelors in psychology. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from St. John’s University, where he conducted research on coping humor and empathic anger. Dr. Pinchot completed his predoctoral internship at Northwell Health’s Zucker Hillside Hospital, where he was trained in providing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Pinchot also received specialized training in treating OCD and OCPD under Dr. Anthony Pinto at Zucker Hillside Hospital’s OCD Center. Dr. Pinchot’s approach to therapy is warm, empathic, and genuine. He combines traditional CBT with mindfulness-based approaches, including elements of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and DBT, to meet the unique needs of each client.
