Dr. Yoni Zomick is a postdoctoral fellow at My OCD Care specializing in evidence-based treatments for OCD, OCPD, PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders across the lifespan. Dr. Zomick received his M.A. and Ph.D. with distinction from Hofstra University where he conducted research on detecting and understanding mental illness on social media platforms and was honored with the Dr. Richard O’Brien Dissertation Award. He graduated summa cum laude from Touro College with a bachelor’s in psychology and received the Psychology Award for scholarly achievement and excellence in psychology. Dr. Zomick completed his predoctoral internship at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. Dr. Zomick also received specialized training in treating OCD and OCPD at Zucker Hillside Hospital’s OCD Center. Dr. Zomick’s approach to therapy utilizes elements of traditional Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Relational Therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.
