In honor of OCD Awareness Week (October 13th – 19th), My OCD Care will be launching a free online lecture series. The biweekly series will feature world renown scientists, OCD specialists, and other interesting people involved in the OCD community. The lectures are intended for anyone who would like to learn more about OCD, clinicians and the general public alike. Topics will include new developments in the field of OCD treatment and its implication for clinical practice, unique perspectives on treatment, creative ideas in the field, as well as other valuable OCD related information. Lectures will be streamed live at myocdcare.com/live. videos can be streamed on demand at Dr. Kaminetzky’s youtube channel.
For our kick off event, Dr. Eli Lebowitz, Ph.D. associate professor in the Yale Child Study Center will be discussing a fascinating new treatment for Childhood Anxiety and OCD known as SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). highlighting its utility for childhood and adolescent OCD. Dr. Elliot Kaminetzky will be moderating the discussion and taking audience questions October 16th @ 7PM EST
Dr. Steve Hayes will discuss ACT for OCD on 10/17
October 28th @ 8PM Dr. Dean McKay Ph.D ABPP Professor of Psychology at Fordham University, will be addressing the relationship between OCD and Trauma. The talk is based on his and co-author, Lewis Leone’s most recent research on the matter. O
November 14th 2008 Dr. Rebecca Sachs, Ph.D. ABPP who will discuss Autism and OCD
December 2019: Dr. Avital Falk will be discussing Intensive ERP with children
January 2020: Jonathan Abramowitz, Ph.D. ABPP will be discussing the importance of evidence-based practice in the treatment of OCD
